OICAN WEAR specializes in personal protective clothing for everyday life. Their clothes look like normal clothes. They are comfortable to wear and are kind to both the skin and the environment. In addition, they provide good protection against small bumps and bangs. The company was founded in 2021, but the idea began already in 2020 when one of the founder’s sons was diagnosed with a chronic disease that means an increased risk of injuries in connection with falls.

Lightness consultants have contributed with state-of-the-art knowledge on injury biomechanics, characterization of material properties for the energy absorbing pads, and virtual and laboratory test methods to assess products’ energy absorption typical for everyday falls.
